"Phases" is a collection of songs performed by Willows, and written by bandleader Peters to encapsulate significant changes in his life following the passing of his mother. Using a songwriting style that relentlessly evolves and seamlessly flows, "Phases" takes us from the intimate issues of family dynamics all the way out to the existential challenges facing our society as a whole.

The project was first written and conceived by the band in late 2019. Production was suddenly halted by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the band took a two-year hiatus from playing music together. In 2022 however, bandleaders Peters and Brown revived the group out of dormancy, and so the project was completed.
